Add a dash of confidence, a sprinkling of tips and a cup of enthusiasm. It’s a recipe for fun and creation! Call on your cooking flair because after preparing the meals you’ll get to eat them!

This is not a demonstration class. It’s important that YOU get the chance to do all the cooking – not the chef!

At the start of the class you’ll practice knife chopping skills, before being set loose in the kitchen.

With your chef close by to guide and inspire you, you’ll learn how to create stunning tapas to tantalise your guests, then deliver an amazing Spanish feast! You’ll learn the correct way to use some of Spain’s wonderful products, such as saffron, seafood, garlic, spicy chorizo and heady smoked paprika! And with one chef to each group of 8-13 people, you’ll be motivated and feeling kitchen-confident in no time!

So what’s on the menu?

We’ll start by learning some classic tapas, such as chorizo with white wine, garlic, chilli and parsley. This is easy to overcook, but easy to get right…once you know how! You’ll also learn how to prep and flash-fry baby calamari. Again, it’s the technique that makes this star ingredient shine.

Then you’ll create the magnificent seafood paella. It’s an art and religion in Spain, and for a good reason – you’ll simply love it! We’ll also include some sensational Spanish salads.

Enjoy your meal with some beautiful wines and play with glorious Spanish sherry-marinated cherries drizzled over a heavenly pot of rich chocolate for dessert.

Venue: Surry Hills, NSW – approximately five minutes south-east of the Sydney CBD.

Valid For: 1 person

Guidelines: You must be 15 years of age or older to participate in this experience and over 18 years to drink wine with the meal. Cooking classes may not be suitable for people with food allergies – please contact us if you have any concerns. Bring your sense of adventure and a smile!

Numbers: The price quoted is for one person. There will be a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 people per class. In the event that minimum numbers are not met, your experience will be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date.

Session Length: Spanish and tapas cooking classes are held monthly on a Saturday. Please see below for available dates. Your cooking class starts at 11am and finishes at 2pm.

Extra Info: Our chefs are lively, interactive and fun. With their passion for food and wealth of knowledge, they will inspire, teach and share their love of cooking. You can be guaranteed this will be much more than your standard cooking class!
