Stop bee-killers from making a comeback in the UK

The Government wants your views on its pesticide reduction plan -- just weeks after it agreed to let farmers use a banned bee-killing neonic for sugar beets.

It doesn’t make sense. The Government is saying one thing, but doing another. We need to tell the Government: actions speak louder than words. You can’t protect pollinators by allowing banned bee-killers to make a comeback.

This consultation is OUR chance to tell the UK Government to respect our ban on toxic pesticides and help farmers find alternatives to neonics.

You and tens of thousands of SumOfUs members have already done so much to fight for our bees. The Government is on the defensive. So now’s the time to drown them with messages to protect our bees.

But we need to move fast. This consultation closes 11:59pm on 26 February 2021.

Here‘s how to get started:

  1. Scroll down to the 'Compose your email' section below on this page
  2. Add your own subject line
  3. In the blank box, write what you think about the Government allowing the use of banned bee-killing pesticides and ask them to help farmers find alternatives to neonics.
  4. Choose the email service you use (if you don't know - click 'Manual')
  5. You'll be redirected to your email provider, and your email will appear as a draft
  6. Hit send!

Alternatively, you can complete the full online survey on the government website here
